Supplying your own artwork
When supplying artwork, please include a hard copy with both composite and colour separations. Highlight any critical print positions, perforations, numbering, folds, etc.
If sending your file(s) by email, you must supply a PDF proof of both the composite file and separations.
Supplied artwork formats
We advise that supplied artwork is generated in the following design programs; Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Quark Xpress and Acrobat.
When supplying artwork the files should be saved in a PDF, EPS, TIFF, or JPEG format. Alternatively a Mac generated open application file can be supplied.
Fonts
List all fonts used within your layout and EPS artwork supplied. If your work is Mac based, include all your fonts with the art file. Remember to include all components (screen and printer fonts). If a different font is used, line lengths and line breaks could be affected and the layout of the page may alter. If position is critical, indicate that fact on the hard copy and convert the fonts to outlines before sending us the file. This will ensure exact placement according to your specifications.
Images/Colour
When supplying artwork; scan the line art at 600 dpi or higher for optimum quality printing. All greyscale or colour images should be saved at 300 dpi (150 lpi) and should be imported at 100. Rotate, scale and crop images before importing into your layout. Images for four colour process jobs must be saved as CMYK tiff or EPS format; images for inkjet output should be saved as RGB. Do not use Pantone or similar colours unless pre-arranged for specialist jobs.
Set Up
Files should be supplied including a 3mm bleed on each side. Print will be returned at the finished sizes. Please ensure all artwork supplied is centred within the document page. Please ensure no excess artwork remains on the art board.
